Clase NAMI Basics

NAMI Bases y Fundamentos es un programa gratuito de seis sesiones diseñado para padres y otros cuidadores familiares de niños y adolescentes con dificultades emocionales y de conducta. NAMI Bases y Fundamentos ayuda a los padres y otros cuidadores familiares de niños a comprender las enfermedades que causan esas dificultades de comportamiento y el papel fundamental que desempeñan las familias en el tratamiento de esas enfermedades. El programa es impartido por maestros capacitados que también son padres o cuidadores familiares de personas que experimentaron dificultades emocionales o de comportamiento.

NAMI Family-to-Family Class

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. It is a designated evidenced-based program. This means that research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition. NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there, and includes presentations, discussions and interactive exercises.

NAMI Basics Class

NAMI Basics is a free, six-session program designed for parents and other family caregivers of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties. NAMI Basics helps parents and other family caregivers of children to understand the illnesses that are causing those behavioral difficulties, and the critical role families play in the treatment of those illnesses. The program is taught by trained teachers who are also the parents or family caregivers of individuals who experienced emotional or behavioral difficulties prior to age 13.

4th Annual Teeing Off for Mental Health Golf Tournament

Swing into mental health awareness by joining NAMI El Paso's 4th Annual Golf Tournament. All funds stay in our community to help our local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness continue our mission of providing free mental health education and awareness. Join us on the green carpet! Show our community that mental health matters.

NAMI Homefront Class

The NAMI Homefront educational program is free and held over six sessions. The program is designed for families, caregivers and friends of military service members and veterans with mental health conditions. Based on the nationally recognized NAMI Family-to-Family program, NAMI Homefront is designed to address the unique needs of family, caregivers and friends of those who have served or are currently serving our country. The program is taught by trained family members of service members/veterans with mental health conditions.

Every bid helps break down the stigma on mental health and supports free mental health programs for individuals and families in the borderland. NAMI Peer-to-Peer Class for Veterans & Service Members

NAMI El Paso will be hosting a NAMI Peer-to-Peer for Veterans and Service Members. NAMI Peer-to-Peer is an eight-session course for adults with a mental health condition who are looking to better understand their condition and journey toward recovery. Experience compassion and understanding from people who relate to your experiences.

Upcoming Volunteer Meeting

Become a NAMI El Paso volunteer and increase your mental health awareness efforts! Open to new and existing adult volunteers to learn about NAMI El Paso, support awareness events, participate in health fairs, and more. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Can’t make it? We’ll host a 30 minute virtual recap meeting the following day at 12 PM. Be sure to RSVP to receive the virtual link.
