In Our Own Voice Program Leader Training

NAMI In Our Own Voice (IOOV) is a presentation by two people living in recovery of a mental illness. They share their stories of living each day with mental health challenges. IOOV is a great tool to reduce the stigma of mental illness by educating the community on what it is like to live with a serious medical condition. These presentations are conducted in front of audiences such as peers, family members, mental health providers, law enforcement, and the general public.

We are looking for individuals in recovery to become presenters. The training is free and presenters are paid a stipend for each presentation as well as mileage reimbursement.

For more information contact Nellie Mendoza at 915-778-5726 or nmendoza@namiep.org.
