Private Screening: Spyral

Join us for a private screening of Spyral, as we welcome the NAMI Texas 2024 Annual Conference in El Paso! This event is open to the general public.

Randy White recorded on videotape a memorable, searing, and touching record of his wife Michelle’s battle with bipolar disorder. The film tells of Randy’s once-magical relationship with Michelle and their deep love for their young daughter, Charlotte. It chronicles Randy’s Sisyphean struggle to create a safe and happy home for Charlotte amidst the turmoil created by Michelle’s disease.
The filmmaking team hopes this story will resonate with audiences after they finish watching, and have them look anew on this widespread, under-reported, and very significant health issue. We also hope they will be pulled into the drama, feel the turmoil and pain of Michelle, and admire the quiet heroism of Charlotte and Randy.

Please Note: This event is open to the community. Viewer discretion is advised. The screening and Conference are separate events, and a ticket is required for each.

2024 NAMI Texas Annual Conference and Awards Celebration

Every year, NAMI Texas hosts an Annual Conference and Awards Celebration. These events bring together individuals and families affected by mental illness, service providers, and the broader mental health community. Conference events highlight innovations in the mental health field and provide opportunities for networking and celebration. With exciting keynotes, informative workshops, a lively exhibit hall, Continuing Education Credit, networking opportunities, and surprises, the Conference has something for everyone.

This year, NAMI Texas is celebrating 40 Years of Hope and Healing.

NAMI Texas could not be more excited to be bringing the Conference to West Texas. All Conference events will be held in the heart of bustling downtown El Paso, primarily in the beautiful El Paso Convention Center. There are many nonstop flights to El Paso from major Texas airports. The local Affiliate in the area, NAMI El Paso, is eager to welcome Texans from across the state.

NAMI Familia-a-Familia es un programa gratuito de ocho sesiones para familiares, cuidadores, parejas, amigos, y seres queridos de adultos que viven con una condición de salud mental. El curso esta diseñado para ayudar a toda la familia a entender y apoyar a seres queridos que viven con una condición de salud mental, sin descuidar el propio bienestar del círculo familiar.

Miles de familias describen el programa como una experiencia que ha cambiado sus vidas. El programa es liderado por instructores capacitados que también son familiares de adultos que viven con condiciones de salud mental y saben, de primera mano, lo que significa tener un ser querido en estas circunstancias.
